COD4 patches

Hey everybody,

Im hearing ppl talking about patches 1.2 or 1.7 and stuff, but i like 2 know more of them.
Like, are these the patches that let u play on other maps? and about how to instal them..

I have never downloaded/installed a patch.
Wich one of u guys have installed patches? and wich patches?
If i want to instal, do i begin with 1.0/1.1?

This is a topical and important topic!

1st! The servers we are playing on, run on v1.2! But u also can play with v1.1 on them!
2nd! if u patch higher than v1.2 u can t play 1.2 servers anymore...
3rd! most patches only fixes bugs/mistakes! but patch v1.4 for example brings a new map! (-Crash winter-) , v1.6 -> 4 new maps!
4th! for example: u need v1.1 to be able to update to v1.2... and so on... only patch v1.6 can be installed ignoring to the currently installed version...

Does it improve to instal patches 1.1 and 1.2? or am i just fine without them?

Oh and another thing, what about promod?
How do i install that? cuz i heard its really good to play promod servers to improve ur skills.

yeah promod is good but now, i can't play on memia promod i don't know why
is it because they closed their server?

I installed promod once, but somehow I have to install it again :S

hey mingus ! i think you are running the 1.1 version... but there is no real difference between 1.1 and 1.2... .v1.2 just handle a glitch mistake.... but this mistake is solved by server side already..
dont patch higher than v1.2!!
but there is a possibility to run more than 1 version... u need to copy ur version, rename it and than u can patch 1 version to 1.7 for example and the other runs still on1.2

Promod is a short download... go on M l Promod server and normally the download begins automatic...than game restarts and u will able to play promod....

It takes me 40 min to download.

maybe u downloaded a real patch! there are some patches available
but u dont have to download if u want to play v1.1/1.2 mods....
just go on a Promod server and you will be asked for download...this will take some minutes depending on your connection...than game restarts and u will be able to play!

How do i get on a promod server? Were can i find them?
Must i search internet for promod server and then use a link or something like that?

i just know M promod! maybe there are more promod servers ... i didnt look for it... cause they are empty most of the time...

Hey guys, if we want to get serious with this clan, like forming squads, play clanwars on a regular base and stuff, shouldnt we consider moving up to 1.7? cuz alot of excellent players play there.
And we can play promod so we can get even better.
Because i dont think we wouldnt get to much clanwars on 1.2 if most of the clans are playing 1.7
Also MW2 is coming in november and it would be great to begin MW2 with alot of experience(promod, battling good clans)

i like it, Shootme sayd that Df| got server(s) at 1.7 to

and its much easier to get an own server running on v1.7 there are ranked and unranked servers available!
Maybe we should all patch it up to 1.7

I agree Mingus we should move to 1.7.

But 1 thing we need to know if everymember of the DM clan wants to move and then we consider to move or not.

If you are going to move to 1.7 i already downloaded the patch all i need to do just install.

you can moove in 1.7, but i will stay here cause i have played 1.7 it's not so good and now i'm with my friend here and it's ok sory^^
