video cards

I need a new video card for my computer, does anyone know a good one for a reasonable price?

ATI Radeon 4870 is the best : price/power. It cost about 200$

What is your price?Is your card a PCI express?If so:
GTX295 for 450€
ATI Radeon 5850/5870 for 200/250€
ATI Radeon 4850/4870 for 80/140€


PS:check if your mother board can accept these cards.

how can i check if it can accept them?

Normaly all mother board can accept all card but some do crossfire(ATI) and some other do SLI (nvidia)
If your card you have atm is an ATI Radeon take one of this card i quote but if you have an nvidia take gtx 275,gtx 280 or gts 250/260 (gtx 295 but very expensive)



PS:I think that all mother board can accept all card but I'm not sure.

I have a NVidia 9600 GT (512 MB) which cost me 90 euros and can hold all the games I have (Crysis, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry 2) at the maximum graphic settings... I recommend it to you, it is cheap and works really well, you don't need a better one in my opinion

I think that it is a very good graphic card Although it was a bit more expensive for me lol

ahahahahaa i just play it at school my parents bought me a 20gb memory stick so i shoved wow on it and cod4 SP and play it at school good graphics on the Apple Macs

cool!!! It is very good, u don't need a better one now... it can run all the games. Maybe in 2 years games will have better graphics and we'll have to buy another graphic card, but not now

the way to detetermin the best grafics cards is not just memory,its the bus speed of the actual card....i.e the second number in the card details what speed the card runs at....i.e nvidia 9600....runs at 600mhz 9800 runs at 800mhz ati cards are the same 9200 runs at 200 mhz (uff) you can overclock cards to run faster but is not recommended for inexperianced people.........the amout of ram a card hols is a big factor but not as big important as the card speed....... i.e. a nvidia 9600 pro card with 1gb ram is not better than a 9800 with 512 ram

also paying 400 euro for a grafix card is madness it will be 150 euro in 12 months
